red bellies pretty much have the same temperaments as meyers. personally, meyers and red bellies are one of my top fave pet birds. my meyers and red bellies tend to be really shy when they are growing in their pin feathers, but we have to make sure to just give them extra attention and try to expose them to new things, and they always grow up to be very social birds. they are always the first to jump onto strangers, and the last to say good bye. they are even more social than out tiel babies. our sennies have always been kinds shy around strangers though. they are really sweet, but they sure dont go running to play with the strangers. they can all be excellent talkers if you take the time to really talk to them daily. before our babies wean, they have already learned to mimic all the other birds that we have, they sound just like them. they are pretty good at whistling too. they dont have th clarity that an african grey will have, but they can still speak clearly so that eveyrone will understand what they are trying to say.
