I think you're mama did just fine! I actually like "Shea" for a boy. Of course this is coming from a woman engaged to be married to a guy named "Lynn" - I think you got off easy!

Does your wife get strange looks when she is in new company talking about "Shea and I this", and "Shea and I that"? I always get a few raised eyebrows in our neck of the woods - (I live in Backwards-behind-the-times-ignorant, U.S.A) they think my Lynn is my "female" friend. Sometimes I even ham it up a little just to make it more fun for me. Just a tip for your wife - just in case she's ever bored standing in line at the grocery store behind 2 little old ladies who just got out of church. :icon_eek:
