Anyway, welcome to BirdBoard! I'll have to agree, the trip really isn't that bad. Birds travel by car, truck, van, and even airplanes quite frequently. The airplanes may be most disturbing with the change of airpressure though many are able to cope with the travel quite well. If he is still available, and you are really interested in him, I'd say go for it! Otherwise, keep your eye out for another bird that you'd trully be interested in.
