I think you have all the answers you need but I will mention once again--two birds
will be noisier. If your bird takes to the other bird she will most likely want to mate and have babies==more birds!! The mating in itself could produce even more noise...
If your husband is a bit frustrated with the bird you have, getting another one isn't going to help.
