HI, I once read on article on how to test for avian 'IQ'. Here are some of the games I remeber: 1)Where's the food? Place a favorite food treat in plain site, let them see it. Then place two books or something in front of it. See if the bird realizes that the treat didn't 'disappear', it is just now behind the book. Test is to see if they go around the book to get it. I":ll see if I can find the article to post all 5 tests.
I also make a neat treat for them.. I take a quilter's square, and sew 8-10 medium sized buttons on it. I then put a ball of seeds,curly pasta and wooden balls in the center, and wrap the square around it. I tie it with a leather cord that i usually string beads on. it takes them about 2-3 days to chew off the buttons, get through to the treats and chomp off the beads. Very fun!
