i took bailey to get his nails and wings trimmed. the nails were cut too short.about 2 hrs. after i got home his toe started bleeding (alot) to me anyway. i put cornstarch, flour, rubbed soap on it, put pressure on it. it stopped for awhile but then started bleeding again. i went to the drug store and got a styptic stick and put some on. so far it's not bleeding anymore.
the person who cut his nails said for me to watch the back two toes. i thot they might bleed on the way home not later. i will be sleeping near his cage tonite. i put white paper towels under his perch and keep checking for more bleeding. hope he'll be okay. i might be over-reacting a bit but want to make sure he's okay. he was such a good fid today!
