i'm not sure what they cut his nails with. baileys toe nail did start bleeding a little bit again tonite a couple of hours ago. i went to the drug store and bought a styptic stick. after applying it to his toe nail i covered his cage and put him to bed for the nite. i keep checking but so far no blood on the white paper towels under his perch. i will be sleeping out where his cage is tonite and keep checking. i think, maybe because he kept playing and moving around it caused the toe to keep bleeding.(typical caique behavior) hopefully, him being still and sleeping will give it time to heal. this was such a scary experience. i learned alot through it though. 1. definetly have an emergency kit (plan) and 2. have a phone number ready for a vet. if it wasn't for forums like these i would've been lost..thank you everyone!
