My BFA Maggie makes a strange noise when I pick her up. First of all, she doesn't like coming out of her cage much and will yell at me if I try to touch her. But she's relatively ok when I do get her out, unless of course, I try to touch her. That's not the weird thing, I've just accepted that as her behavior. The noise sounds like a popping sound after I get her out and I'm holding her against my chest, trying to calm her down. I'm not holding her too tightly either, just enough so she can calm down without hurting anyone. Her breathing is fast, but she's not flapping around when she does it. Is this something I should be concerned about? The only time I hear it is when she's apparently stressed that I'm holding her close. Should I just give up trying to hold her? She is less than 2 years old, if that makes a difference.
Any thoughts?
This is the video of her yelling at me. It's dark, but you can definitely hear her yell.
