My Amazon has high cholesterol and neither she nor my Senegal are much for pellet-eating. The vet insisted they should eat Harrison's, so I grind it up in my coffeegrinder. Mix half ground pellet and half unenriched cornmeal. Add eggwhites only (cholesterol!!!!!), a little bakingsoda, a sprinkle salt, a little unsweetened applesauce, any chopped up veggie or fruit or nuts or seed - whatever is handy. I spray my microwave muffin tins with non stick spray - no grease for my little general - and then the mess gets nucked at medium for 5 to six min - of course you have to turn it at least once. There is no such bird that doesn't like cornmuffins and this is a good way to trick them into eating their pellets. Have fun with this - it freezes great.
