I live in RI too, and have followed this story since the beginning. I was shocked to hear of the woman's death. She must have been severely disturbed. It really irked me that the law was only going to charge her with a misdemeanor for the crime. We need to get the laws changed to reflect that most people want animals treated better, and not just as property!
