one of our greenwings was adopted from the oregon humane society, they had rescued 120 birds from someones home and this bird was and still is a feather picker.because she was not perfect feathering, we thought no one would adopt her...she's a wonderful bird, just wasnt taken care of....so we gave her a forever home.with or with out feathers..our harlequin is another said story, we adopted this bird from another rescue where the original owner had blackened out the windows in his apartment for 2.5 years.he didnt see day light..he is such a great bird.....and agin we offered it a forever home.our other birds.we have purchased some of them as baby's others like these 2 stories we felt sorry for them.we only wish our birds the best.sometimes people dont understand what happens to the big birds when they are not wanted any more...well i will work on photos to share with every one.....sorry for being so long winded....donna
