there was an old nieghbor of mine who gave me her conure and parakeet. whenever i visited her the conure was very loud, and not affectionate to anyone. she never even perched on a finger.

i got her in october, adn i remember her eating just about everything i gave her. now she seems picky. she used to bite me too, but instinct told me to hold her if she does that, and knowing i could be bit again thats what i did. eventually she stopped biting me because i'd hold her on her back. the screeming has also stopped. in fact she never screems anymore unless i go yay and clap my hands after she poops in her poop area otuside of the cage. she's pretty much potty trained now too. she was quite neglected with the last owner, the owner before her was abusivie.

although she has come a long way and i got her to go on my fingers, and shoulders, there was some unusual behavior that she did today. normally i initiate her goign on me. today she came on me, but she didn't just go on my shoulder. i was sort of laying down, and she went on my chest. she stayed there and her eyes were opening and closing. for a moment i thought she was dieing, but after a while of sleeping on me she flew back to her cage. she also cuddled in my neck and had her head against my chin. this was the first time she was this affectionate and i'm kind of worried. right now she's in her cage sleeping. here are teh things that has happened before this behavior.

she layed eggs, and my mother slept over last night. a few weeks ago was the first time in her life that she laid eggs, she laid three. i kept them in the cage until she lost interest then took them out. then a few days ago she laid more, but already become uninterested in them . so i removed them. she seems ot be okay with that. i took the new eggs out today and without causing her any stress. she has turned into a completely different bird today and is so loving, but for some reason that worries me. i dont think she has any eggs in her now becuade i didn't feel anything. if anyone can give me some ideas as to why sh'es changing so much would be greatly appreciated. oh. also i want to add. when i first got her and let her out of her cage she did fly on people, but now i have to keep the cage closed when company comes because she will attack. she attacked my mother and took a chunk out of her neck, and when she's in the cage and anyone walks near it she'll open her beak.
