They should have had this at the shop I got my bird at. All I was thinking was "this is one adorable baby and she likes me." All the clerk was saying was "you can do more with a parrot than a ferret." Ashy girl was climbing up and down, investigating my hair, ears, eyes, making cute little noises. She was the same species as my old lori who was killed years ago. I didn't think about the fact that she'll live till I'm forty (I'm 16 now) She'll scream at the wild lorikeets, will have messy, runny poop, she needs a varied fruit diet and regular cleaning due to the danger of yeast infections cause of her high sugar- runny food diet, needs regular time out of the cage for bonding/ playing, needs time outside in the sun and fresh air, needs exercise and mental stimulation... or that I can probably never again have a ferret!!! Either way, my baby girl's here to stay and I wouldn't have it any other way (said as she looks deeply into my eyes and kisses my nose!)...
