A lot of people make it like rice, with a certain amount of water and quinoa. But I make mine like pasta, I just boil it until its ready and then strain (I do it with rice now too...because I used to always burn it!). You know it is ready when the little "tail" can be sen and it turns a clearish color.
I was scared to start cooking with it at first, but it is really good for birds (and humans!). It is also really versatile, I have made sweet pudding with it and now this. Darwin really likes it (oh, and he likes it slightly undercooked...strange bird)!
