I forgot to mention... Both the Greys and Too's are commonly known to be "one person birds" where they will typically bond and interact with only one person in the family.

Our TAG - Skoobie Doo (3.5yr old) - will not let me pet him either. I can barely get him to step on my finger (he prefers to fly off of it almost as quickly as he steps on). However the wife, she can cuddle, pet and play with all the time. If I try, he basically runs/leans away from me. Yet he will let me give him kisses.

Our Too... Franky (3yr old) - he is bonded to me to the point that he will attack others just for talking to me. Yet he has yet to ever even bite me. He's a very "cuddly" bird. He's my "dog" per say as he barks when he's ignored or bored. He will roll over on his back for me to rub his belly too.

A word of caution. It's up to the bird who bonds to who. So it's possible the new Too will bond to you and still leave your husband out in the cold. Best suggestive course I can recommend is get a female too... fids seem to bond with opposite genders better in my best experiences. But even then... no guarantees. The amount of time spent with them can have an effect as well, however I spend more time with our Grey than my wife by far; and still I get the "cold" sholder from him.
