We always read up on the birds we want for well over a year just because we don't want to be one of those who don't know what they are getting into.
I have to say that there isn't one site yet that has said they are a one person bird. They have all said that the Goffin Cockatoo are very good family birds and love attention soo much that they will take it from anyone. I do agree that it probably will have a favorite just like anything, but I haven't found a site yet that said they are a one person bird.

The Congo's I know are known for this and that is why we opted to go with the Timneh. Every article had said they are more likely to pick a favorite but go to everyone as long as they were gotten young and socialized.

Problem with our TAG is we got her around 6 months old which isn't bad at all, but she had a very very bad flight from the breeders to get to us. We live in WV and the breeder was in TX. It was suppose to be a 5 hour flight that turned into a 13 hour flight! SweetHeart was shipped to Charleston, SC instead of Charleston, WV. So of course this traumatized her. So we are taking it slow with her. She steps up with no problem at all but would rather you not hold her for too long. She likes her play top. I have been taking her back to my chair every day and just sitting her there with me in the hopes she will just hang out with us eventually. So she is still young, and she is very good, she will go to any of us, but doesn't like to be cuddly. And again, didn't think she really would be, that would be nice but really just want her to be able to hang out with us and not fly off back to her cage.

I don't know about the other Cockatoos really, I have mainly read up on the Goffin and I haven't found anyone saying they are a one person bird. But guess only time will tell. Cause honestly the TAG hasn't picked it's person really yet and the Quaker is his anyway lol. So would be nice if it just went to everyone and still had a favorite just like we would want with our TAG.
