Indeed, lovebirds can be quite aggressive. Very few lovebirds are tame with other birds than their own species. They have even been known to attack MUCH LARGER birds than themselves, and have been known to decapitate some toes!

Budgies and lovebirds are far too distant to be able to actually cross breed, or hybridize. It would be like trying to breed a wolf with a fox, it cannot be done because they are far too distant to be able to do something such as this. As far as the birds themselves, budgies originate from Australia, where lovebirds originate from Africa.
