Cathy, when we leave for long vacations we board our current bird at the vet. Rico loves going there and they love him. I don't know very many people in my area that have birds in order to ask them to come over and watch them. I think I'd rather board them at the vet because he has constant attention and he sits right in the midst of all the activity. The dr. even holds him while he's doing his paper work. So boarding won't be a problem. It will be expensive but worth it.
I'm waiting for my vet to call me today. She's examined Sammy in the past and know her condition.
