Hey Everyone, Newbie Here!

Hello to everyone on here!

A quick introduction, my name is Garen, im a younger bird owner, I had a budgie when I was in grade 3 but he died when I was in grade 7 (he was pet store, on seed diet, and we didn't know better). Ever since i've though "man I REALLY love birds they beautiful, funny, and I want to learn more". So we made a mistake on getting a grey which i whole heartadly apologize for but we found him a amazing home and visit monthly. The ONLY reason he had to go is because we tried for a year to get him to interact with the family not just me because in a few years im off to be a avain vet(if I dont die in my physics class). So when i'm gone where does Casey go ? My parents they LOVE LOVE LOVE birds! So since Casey wouldnt interact and didn't show signs of starting to I thought well hes still young under a year, what if he never likes them and wont come out and starts to pluck I can deal with that. So I decided he should start over with a new person and I dont regret that choice. But it was only for that reason none otehr he was rehomed.

So now we decided since we can handle noise, dust, biting, and all that jazz. As long as we have a better chance the bird will be more soical with everyone or someone besides me. So I did my reserch and discovered I love cockatoos always have always will. They are known to be more family birds and i know every cockatoo wont be a family brid but I am going to lay of and not overshine my light on the bird let my dad. So incase hes not a family bird hes still my dads you know?

Although after mytoos I was kinda scared but ym dad read it and said its alright we can handle everything that comes with the bird. We will deal with hormones and remeber i will be the main light not you.

So we then looked at breeders and put a deposit on a magnificantly ugly(yet adorable) baby umbrella that we visit weekly until he comes home in about 4 weeks. For all those on the perch yes I was that young kid who was snotty and overreacted to people attacking me based on my past grey expirance.

I realized people didn;t understand wwhy I felt it was best for the bird, and it kept bugging me but I have come to terms with that and wont react like that. I hpe everyone here understands why and doesn't think im going in this with my eyes closed.

Thanks for everyone who took the time to read my novel :).

oh and im also taking outside school english classes on how to write a book, and I plan on writing one on how to properly care for a cockatoo, how to make sure your getting a healthy bird and what my cockatoo is really like.
