I am always trying to warn about the toxicity of teflon in birds.

Birds die from over heated teflon that is a fact. It has happened time and time again. It has proven to be a cause of death by necropsy time and time again. If teflon is scratched or worn it does not need to get up to as a high a level of heat before it releases vapors.
It does not hurt for people to post information about how deadly teflon is.
I don't see why people need to get defensive when someone posts an informative article. If you use teflon fine. We all do what we want to. No one has a right to tell you not to use those pans. But they do have a right to try to educate people who don't know the dangers. I don't know how many times I have heard a very sad former bird owner say they just did not know. That is why I love bird message boards and lists. I am sure everyone who reads through these posts come out knowing a little more on how to keep healthy birds.
