Question Can anyone help please?

I have a new cinnamon canary who I put into a cage with what I thought was another female because she does not sing... at all... and now the cinnamon has laid and egg! I do have a male who lives in a seperate cage. What should I do with the egg? Since I'm almost positive the other canary with the cinnamon is a female the egg can't be fertilized! Can I put the male in the cage with her now and if I do will she lay more, fertilized eggs? I've never had this situation before!! Can anyone offer advice? I would love to have babies so I don't want to discourage her by removing the egg, but at the same time I want her to lay fertilized eggs. Help!
