Hey , dont expect anything (no matter the size) to get along out of the cage except for another bird of the same species. I mean it does happen but you cannot count on it. That doesnt mean a teil or any other smaller bird in the hose wont benefit your too> I did the same thing and was thankful I did. I went to get a teil but ended up with a small Green Cheek Conure. They didnt get together but just having another bird for company to taLK TO all day was way better than being alone alone. Its fine to have to birds you get out at different times. Mine were both clipped so they were out of cage and on different stands across the room at the same time anyway as long as anyone doesnt have the habit of getting down and "wandering"
