[Gucci]

In the past I have had parakeets, a cherry masked conure, and I currently have a DYH Amazon and 2 macaws. The macaws are by far my most favorite. I don't think it is size. Certainly the size of a macaw is an major inconvenience in terms of cage, and even traveling with them. And, also keep in my that both of my macaws are young, but for me it is the relationship I have with them. My conure was cool, but much more independent. The parakeets were definitely more independent. The Amazon is unfortunately just not a nice bird. The macaws would crawl under our skin if they could. They are funny, playful, needy, cuddling, demanding of our attention, and destructive if not properly supervised. But, then again...I have 6 weimaraners (a breed with a reputation of being emotional cripples, needy, have to be with you, etc...)
