Welcome, im a queenslander and i say galah lol! We had a galah and she was so awesome...people give them up because of noise and aggression but honestly, if you train them right they are great...our galah didnt like kids but was fine with adults of either sex. She wasnt as noisy as alot of people tell us they are but maybe we were lucky...she learnt how to be by herself for long periods of time and she had times we let her scream to get it out of her system. Im not saying she was quiet as she IS a part of the too fam but not as loud as others made out.. so if you do train it properly they can be great!! She was a wild galah that had an accident and couldnt fly again so we kept her and tamed her (well...my grandad and my dad when he was younger tamed her).
Look forward to seeing what you choose...Plus it is good for us to know what sort of qualities you want in a bird. I looked for what i wanted in a bird, thats how i came up with the Alexandrine...next one is a green cheek conure :)
Anyways again, Welcome fellow aussie!
