this is probably a long shot for you but its what I plan to do. We have a sawmill and lumber business and have dry kiln that we use to dry our lumber. This also kills any bugs that might be in the wood. We're due to get our first bird here next week and I will be going down to our woods to search out a good large branch or small tree. I don't know where you live but you might see if you can contact a sawyer near you. Around here, there are a fair amount of portable sawmills. If the sawyer himself doesn't have a kiln, he may be able to point you to someone who does. Chances are you could tuck a branch or small tree in any one of his loads for a nominal fee. Just a thought.
