I can't tell you alot, as every bird has its own reasons. The first thing I usually sugguest is to look back and see if you can think of anything that has changed. Anything that could affect his world. Like moving his cage, new furniture, new curtains, new cologne, new hairstyle, new pet or person, there are so many things, that may seem insignificant to us, but may be a big deal to a parrot that is in the same room all day. Sometimes we just get to busy also, and just rush around by them instead of being calm we get hyper.
Other things could be he may not be feeling well and may need to see a vet; he could be hormonal, which you need to give him his space if he is. he may just be trying to see how much he can control you.
There are too many conditions, and circumstances that could effect him that more would need to be known. There are a few good behavioralists around, but most would want to see the bird, and most prefer to see the bird in their environment to get a proper read.
I recommend you to get a couple of books by Joannie Doss [you can get them at
Parrot House ] They are books on reading your amazons body language. They are easy to read, and Joannie has worked with amazons for many years. This would be a start of things to look into anyway.
