thank you eliza. I am purchasing a carbon monoxide tester tomorrow. I don't use teflon, I use stainless and hard anodized which the vet said were ok. I have not cleaned my carpets lately, but when I do, I will make sure its a nice warm sunny day and put the birds outside. No replacing the carpets, did that a few years ago. No painting, we did that a couple years ago too. Lately no crafts have been done, and I don't use the self cleaning thing on my oven, I scrape and clean it by hand.

I did talk to the vet today and he is VERY suspicious of the heat being the problem. Its just very coincedental. But I wont rule out other things too. thanks again
