I have to agree but Sophie has choked on a splinter of wood before. FREAKED ME OUT! She started vomiting and bobbing her head but after a minute she must have worked it out and was ok. That being said, she still chews on wood and has never had any other problems with it. I think it was just a freak thing. I would make sure that the wood is bird safe and not treated with anything though. There are quite a few types of wood that are toxic to birds and if it is treated you bird could get really sick.
