I live in Nashville, TN and have a wonderfully tame and loving bird. But I don't have enough time to spend with him, and I live off site from the bird, and my husband hates him, and he is the one taking care of him while I'm gone all week and I can't have the bird in the place I live during the week. I love this bird, have had it for 12 years, but it would be better for the bird to be gone from this situation....I'm not there, and a person caring for him who hates him.

Like all cockatoos, he squawks and that is why my husband hates him and that is why I can't have him where I live during the week.

I am very much an "animal" person, I love animals and am toying with the idea of selling the bird and using the money to get a dog...(I can have a small dog where I live during the week) and the accessories I would need to keep a dog in a small apartment. BUT...my main objective is to carefully select a good home for my parrot, and possibly have "visitation" rights.

Any ideas???
