Well, the vet visit went really smoothly, considering the poor boy hasn't been out of his cage for probably at least a year. I had to towel him to get him out, but I stayed up late last night reading the best techniques, and that part went pretty smoothly.
He traveled to the vet's just great in the car - we sang the whole way.
He was good for the vet, didn't try to bite even once! He's very scared of hands, but sat on the tech's shoulder nicely.
He is a VERY capable flyer. I mean excellent. He flew all over the exam room, trying not to get caught in the mean towel. So, I think once he's tame, allowing him to fly might be an option - he's very very good.
I am so proud of him, and feel like I can really trust him. In fact, once we got home I let him "beak" my thumb, and he was quite gentle. I think I've got a little gem! I already love my boy!!
