I miss my Kiwi Baby

My Kiwi (Green quaker) died a few weeks ago. She was only two years old. She had cut her leg severely and bled so much for about 3 days. I took her to the vet twice and he didn't do anything but give me a topical antibacterial creme to apply to her leg. She became so weak that I had to feed her baby bird food. One day I came home and she appeared normal. Then she started screaming and gasping for air. I put her on the floor and her legs started cramping. She rolled over on her back and screamed and flapped her wings and then died. I was so truamatized. I never experienced anything so awful and never felt so helpless. She left her boyfriend Baloo behind (Blue quaker). He is fine now. I'm introducing him to Yoshi a green cheek conure. They appear to be friendly. Im still so sad about Kiwi. I will often have flashbacks of her death. I don't understand how she just died on me
