AGREED. I had Luen outside (in his cage) for a shower and sunbathing the other day and my 9 year old neighbour fell in love with him! He started harassing his mother for a galah and complaining very loudly... But while she was there, I grinned, pointed to the child whining and calmly told her a galah will be just like that, but louder and more constant, for the next 40-50 years She didn't seem to like that idea, but now they're thinking of getting a small bird if any bird at all.
I'm so grateful my neighbour (the mother) listened! It really annoys me when people don't THINK about what getting a pet means.
