new lovebird owner

great advice. i have put a happy hut and some toys in with him. yesterday he i was on the computer and he just came up to me. he flew on my lap. but he still wouldnt let me touch him. i was soooo happy when he came over to me. a little progress:) do you have any suggestions he seems to want to be with my other birds. I have finches in a separate cage. when monty comes out of his cage i talk to him and read by his cage but when he hears my other birds chirping or singing he leaves me and searches them out and then climbs on their cage and sits there or tries to get in with them. should i move my other cage away until i get him trained so he will be more focused or should i let him have that comfort of the other birds.
