He was finally graduated to outside freedom 24/7 (was in house for winter, crated while we worked) moved to outdoor kennel with Ringo (another heeler) in spring. now outdoors 24/7 but free while we are home. Was great and stayed around and was promoted to loose 24/7 (we live in the country) with the hope he would keep raccoons and strays away from the fids. All my breeders moved outside a week ago for the summer. They thrive outside and we share the patio with them in a nice set up that actually gives them more stimulation and we enjoy them more then the birdroom cause we spend allot of time out there. The Congo pair share the building with the hens although separated from the hens and the hens are only inside at night when I can lock everybody up. I have my other dogs but Cisco gaurds the inside and NO ONE will come in. He is the Chief of staff - he stays in. The two Jacks can never be trusted to stick around or not eat birdies so they are treated as such. Ringo is too young and far from ready to be trusted to stay around and he likes to drag everything in the world out to destroy. But Ponch has passed every test for two years....and has been out with them for a month.....until now
