I have a question -- the plastic netting, what type of plastic and how easy will it be for them to shred, since they love to shred stuff. I would wonder how long it will take to become shred material! And don't use acrylic paints -- use the food dyes. Acrylic paint will come off when they mouth it. You might try to get a plastic or metal bottom that will fit -- there are places that can make metal for you. And plastic -- look for the top of totes that you can put in there.
