I'm so sorry this happened. You said you had a GCC? Maybe putting his cage outside may lure your parakeet back? Make sure to leave his cage in your yard where he can see it from afar, and of course leave food and water with the doors open. Also....post in the paper and on craigslist. Put flyers up locally too!
