What an interesting story!
Where did the story come from?
or I should say, where did you hear it from Grae?
Reading that reminded me of something I had to put on the back burner in Feb. My daughter was given a 1 page assignment back in November where she had to pick an area of the world & using the animals of that place, they had to create a simple story for their class.
For some reason, she picked Africa. When she got home, we looked up African creatures and legends. OH boy was there a lot of them!!!
Unfortunately, many African legends aren't what we would think of as appropriate for a children's book.

Unless of course you're child is Stephen King or Clive Barker.
She finally chose a creature, the King cheetah, and with a little help
we came up with a very simple storyline.
Lori-Anne got a good mark for it. She LOVED the characters we created and the story, but was very sad that the story was so short. She asked if I could make it longer.
"You know Daddy, like a
real story! Yeah that's it! Make it into a real book! If anyone can do it, it would be you. You're a great writer Daddy"
How can I not try with encouragement like that?
Anyway, I fleshed it out from one page to fifteen & I added about eight hand drawn pics of some of the characters in the story scenes.
I'd post it here, but at 15 pages, it's kinda long for the forum.....
Besides, I wouldn't mind completing the request and see about getting it turned into a children's book.

LOL! Anybody got any advice?
