Update on Shadow and Coco
I'm so happy to update you on how Coco is doing with his nostril. As many of you remember, one of his nostrils was clogged and I didn't know what to do. I tried the steam, the long bath, until I finally decided to take him to the person where I buy the toys and food (He also sells birds so he has experience). He took a look at Coco and was able to get whatever it was in there. He said it was some kind of dirt and residue that was stuck and he was able to take it out. I was so happy to find out that it was nothing serious.
With Shadow and her picking.....well I moved to another apartment (bigger) and some of you had suggested to separate Coco and Shadow (Coco would sometimes botter her and not let her eat and in return Shadow was plucking Coco's head's feathers) at first I thought that this might be too rough on them. This is because we had so many changes in such short period of time, but I went ahead and bought two cages (one for Coco and one for Shadow). I also changed their diet (not completely) and try to include pellets for them. Well both of them have been doing just fine, both of them have new dark beautiful feathers growing and seem to be very happy. Now each get their own food. I try to take them both out at the same time so they can still get to play and socialice with each other but sometimes Shadow gets to Coco's feathers so now they have to be supervised 24/7 when they are outside. Their cages are right next to each other, and they are covered with one huge blanket at night so they are able to see each other all the time. I want to finsh by saying thank you all for all of your suggestions and help, now everything is going just fine and hopefully it will continue that way. Thank you again.
