Falling from the perch

Hi,
About 4 years ago,I had a healthy Congo African Grey which lost his health in less than 2 month and died.In first weeks he falls from his perch and after a short time he came back and sit on his perch.I think that this cause from his playful, but unfortunately he did it again in other days and every time the numbers of happening this matter in a day increased as the time that he needs to came back and sitting on his perch again.
In last weeks,he falls from his perch more than 3-4 times a day and he came back and sit on his perch after about 1-2 minute,by the way,in these last weeks, when he falls down,he closed his eyes.Anyway.As I said on top,all of these happen in less than 2 month and till I understand and want to do something for him,he died.
Now after 4 years, again these problem happen for my new Congo African Grey so I decide to write this and ask that:

1-What is the name and the reason of this disease?

2-What should I must do for my parrot after that time that this disease happen for him?

Thank you.

I would get him to the vet and have your cage checked for lead etc... there may be an enviromental factor in your home. Get him checked.

Find an Avian vet NOW! Since the same thing is happeneinh twice, it is time to do something! It may be signs of metal tox, which is treatable, but you will need to find out where the metal is coming from. The only way to know is a VET!!!!!

if your bird does have heavy metal toxicity, its only treatable if its caught early enough. if you wait too long, it will kill the bird :(

do you cook with nonstick cookware? have any scented candles or air fresheners? use febreeze?? all of these household items, and others, can cause vapors which can be lethal to birds. if you clean your house with bleach or amonia, the smells from those cleaners can also be toxic to birds if not used in a ventilated area.
