Unhappy I don't understand this behavior (CAG)

What does this mean when my 3 1/2 month old cag attacks me through the cage and then all of a sudden submits and brings his head down for head scratchy? Then the behavior starts all over again. Attack then submit.
Is he testing me? What do I need to do?

thanks,

sandy

Not to sure what this behavior is. However, I have seen many greys, including mine, do the same thing. I'll be following this thread to see if anyone has any ideas.

Anyone for answers? Please...This happens especially around his food.
I weighed him today and he is up to 427grams from 403 in one week.

The cage is his domain, his space, his safe place. He feels protective of it and his food.

What are you feeding this guy?? That sounds like alot of weight to gain in one week....As far as the behavior, I feel he is DEFINITELY testing you.
Wants to see who is in control.. I have 3 greys, two of them are 2 years old and an 8 year old. They still do it. Not to worry, just don't give him control.

I'm feeding him Zupreem Pellets mainly with frozen mixed veg. When he was weaning he was up to 456grams at one time then when he got weaned he got down to 386 grams. I guess he is just trying to catch up to his highest weight. He is doing really good though I don't think its anything to worry about. All he does is play and eat and little sleep except at night.
And he is talking or at least learning how to talk already. I'm so proud of my big guy.

Well, we just did our weigh in this morning and he is back down to 409 grams after taking the biggest bird drop I've ever seen.

Tuki's Poop

FREAKS ME OUT!
His "big one" of the day tends to be in the afternoon instead of morning though. When I first take him or let him out of the cage around 4 pm, he goes. A LOT!!!
