Question So...how worried should I be??!

My 6 month grey is having some yucky brown colored poop this morning. I have never seen him have poop like this. Can he just be kinda stressed or is this pretty serious?

We moved his cage from one room to another last night, and he has some type of litter in his top play pen instead of newspaper. Could these changes have stressed him out enough to have some yucky poo? It is pretty watery too.

Thanks for any advice!

What type of litter is in his playpen? It's best to not use litter at all, if they ingest it, they can have problems. Is he acting normally or "off" even just a little? I would call to see if an your avian vet is available to talk to if he's not acting right at all. Has he pooped again? If so, is it looking normal?

I just got home from work and he is acting normal but is still having brown poo! I have been watching him closely with the litter and he doesn't seem the least bit interested in eating it....I am gonna call my vet now. my poor little baby!

welp....my vet doesn't seem to concerned since he is still behaving normally. They say most likely it is from something he ate. I did get him a new toy and there was some edible stuff on there, so maybe thats what it is from, I just got freaked out since he has never done that before! Thanks for your advice though!

How's your baby doing today? Glad to hear your vet didn't think it was serious. Glad I could help you out tho! I don't check in here as often as I should so I'm just now seeing your replies. Do you have any pics of him? I love baby pics, specially greys!
