new here..new baby...need help!

Hi everyone....I'm so excited to be the new mom to my beautiful CAG
Ali-"Gator"..we are having name issues at my house but that will hopefully soon resolve itself. She/he will be 8 weeks old this Thursday...I'm currently feeding her formula 3 times a day....she is starting to act bored with the formula...so this morning I cut up some mango and banana real little..and she ate it up...(I really enjoyed handfeeding her from my hand and not the syringe btw)...

anyways...I'm wondering just where you all were at this age and am curious as to if I'm starting to early or if we're right on target..or what..I really don't want to mess up with her, so I'm trying to read everything I can...And also, how much attention is too much at this stage...thanks so much...Hollyand "Ali"-Gator

your right about on time. Most babies will start to experiment about that age.
I watched mine( had the breeder do the feedings) graduate to peas and corn, and then on to other things.
Just make sure its easy things right now, and move up a little at a time. you can try giving some pellets to see if she plays with them.
They usually do alot of playing with stuff before they relize they are supposed to eat it.
However, the hand feeding is far from over.....
they go on a while like this.
