proper weight for CAG
I've had my african grey, Plato, for 9 years. He is on the large size, but I just weighed him and he is 560 grams. Is this too much considering he is a large bird? I feed him Zupreme, fruits, veggies, peanuts and almonds and birdie bread.

Your baby seems at a good weight. they can vary from about 350 to about 650. My little girl was 354 for the longest time....my first boy was 595 at 7 weeks. ...the only thing I can advise, it no peanuts.
they are potentially dangerous for our birds and can make them very sick.

Thanks for your advice Lisa. All my birds love peanuts but I did not realize they could hurt the parrots. I'll stop feeding them that nut but they'll be mad at me!! And you relieve my mind about Plato's weight.
