hi and congratulations on your new bird,

i don't own a grey, however, i can definetly say he needs more time. i don't know if you did any "reading up" on greys? but in case you didn't i would advise you to read as much as you can about the species. they are beautiful wonderful intelligent parrots...but...you really need to know the challenges and rewards of owning one of these birds. Lisa B will hopefully respond and give you some good advice. and there's loads of threads on here you can read also! wish you the best with your new friend.
BTW what's his name?

Hi Missjj....yes three days is rather quick. Slow the process down. Let him adjust to you and his new surroundings. too much is going on for him all at one time. Once he is more comphy, and that could take as much as a few weeks, he will calm down and want to interact.
check out the grey part of this forum and see if there is any info there to help.

Oh yes as had been said he needs more time to adjust. His entire world has changed. Kind of scary from his stand point.. Start off by just talking/reading/singing to him from the safety of his cage. Take it slow and on his terms not yours! It should take about 3-4 weeks till he adjust.

Good luck and keep us posted on how things are going.. Chris
