Mash?

I have heard people saying they feed their bird some mash , my questions are
1) what is in it?
2) how much?
3) if I only have one bird, what do I do with the rest of it? (freeze?)
thanks for help, Deb

For my mash I buy a bag of 16 bean soup mix and cook it according to the instructions but don't add the seasoning packet. I also cook up some brown rice, cous cous, and quinoa and mix with the beans when they are done. A bag of frozen veggies goes in and I mix it up. I put it in ice cube trays and when it's frozen place the cubes into freezer bags. That way they are individual sized pieces. It stays good in the freezer for quite a while and you can add whatever you want to it. I've put frozen berries in it as well but my birds didn't like them.

OMG the 'ham' seasoning packet! lol My daughter loves ramen soup... and I had just put beans on to soak, tossed the seasoning packet on the counter and went off on my merry way. I soon here "Argggghhhhhhhhhh Mooooooom helpppp!". I rush in, and she's got her face screwed up and is shoving the offending bowl at me.

Seems she tossed the 'ham' packet in instead of the ramen soup one.

I changed my undies because I laughed too hard. LOL
