Nail Picking

So I remember reading somewhere that greys will pick at their nails when they are nervous bu I do not think that Mr. is doing it for that reason. He has one foot where one of the nails is completely gone it was taken by a parent and the toe next to it has part of a nail. We will catch him picking at only that one nail the other ones he leaves alone I want it to grow back and I am sure it will if he were to just leave it alone. I just don't know how to get him to leave that nail alone I don't know if it bothers him and that is why he picks at it or what.

If anyone has any advice it would be appreciated!

the most widdled on toe in my house(strange sounding huh?) would be the front longest toe. is that the one she is chewing on?
most likely it will not grow back. not if it was damaged where it grows in from. (the matrix)

It is the longest one in front that he chews on. It is pretty damaged so I guess it may not grow back. Is it normal for them to pick at it then? I think that I would probably pick at if it were on me LOL.

My CAG often bites his toe nails and then says straight afterwards "Ummm, nice apple!"
