Please wait until the baby is weaned. I understand the excitement of wanting to get your baby home as soon as possible but for the future health of the baby it really is better to wait until they are eating completely by themselves. So much can go wrong when people take over the handrasing process and I'd hate to see you here with a problem. At 9 weeks a CAG would still be being handraised. Weaning is normally done by about 14-16 weeks depending on the individual babe.
I waited for my guy from the time he was an egg. My breeder lived about a 3 hour car trip from me so would send progress photos which I looked forward to so I could see Arthur growing from a fluffy grey chick to the beautiful bird I picked up.
I myself am a breeder with handraising experience but wasn't willing to handraise my guy. Prefer to wait for the breeder to finish his job. Just try and be patient, prepare for your babes arrival and ask if you can visit or get progress photos.
