egg

my ten year old grey just laid an egg -she is not interested or defensive about it - what should I do - she does not have a mate - the egg is infertile

Leave it where it is for awhile. She may or may not lay more eggs. If she's completely uninterested after a couple of weeks, you can take it out. Taking it out too early, especially is she starts to sit on the egg means she may lay more to replace it.

Keep her calcium supplies up too. Normally greys need a higher amount of calcium, if she's laying eggs then even more so. Otherwise, as above.
