health issues

Hello,
I have a question. Does anyone have a smoker that owns a parrot? and if you do , do you make the smoker go to another room or outside or as long as it is ventalated is that ok?

Never, ever allow smoking in a home with birds. Their pulmonary systems are very complex and much more sensitive than the human system. If there is a smoker in your home, or a smoking visitor, insist (no...DEMAND) that they conduct their habit completely outside the home.

I made everyone (myself included when I smoked) go outside to smoke and wash their hands like crazy when they came back if they wanted to handle the bird. We used to keep a bottle of lemon juice by the sink for nicotine removal as well. Smoking outside in winter in upstate NY made us quit a lot faster than just knowing it was a bad habit. :D
