My friend has a CAG that she says looks like his feet are getting pink. Anyone have any experience with this?

Normal perches. When we first saw her she was hanging on bungie cords but that has been like 3-4 months now.

But any info is appreciated.

Well, I have advised my friend that to be totally at peace take him to the vet. We are fortunate we have a great avian vet in town so, she will be making an appointment.

We just thought some of you experts out here might have some advice.

And thank you all for your responses.

yes, it can be the color of a perch, it could be irritation. they tend to be a bit more pink underneth in the cracks.

Ziva has some pink spots on the bottom of her feet. However, she was on rabbit cage wire for six years! They look like spots from irritation from that. I'm trying to keep perches that won't aggevate her feet, but I find her either hanging from the cage (from lack of perches in the past I assume) or standing on her food bowl. I am staying away from any perches with a sand finish or cement. Hopefully it will heal up over time.

The vet didn't say anything about it, but I told him she had them. She also had some dried poo on her feet that she came with, and when I told them I needed them to wash her feet while sedated, the girl who came to take her acted at first like it wasn't a big deal. However, I told her that I wanted her feet washed period. They must've done it, as I didn't see any green after. They should have known how bad that would be for her.
